Every town in the Kimberley has a dedicated Kimberley Tourist Information Centre. These are extremely useful places to get local advice on attractions, road conditions, accommodation, maps and lots of little bits of local knowledge.
Inside each tourism information office, you’ll be able to get free maps, information and lots of brochures for various tours and attractions. When you are still in the planning stages of your trip, it’s also a good idea to call ahead and speak to the helpful staff – they’ll be able to provide plenty helpful advice about your trip.
The Broome visitor information centre is the largest, and is usually a very busy place. The other centres are much smaller and the staff there will have more time to spend answering your questions.
